Since experiencing the total solar eclipse on April 4, 2024, I have made a few eclipse pieces to expand on the awe I felt. Eclipse Blue was a large cyanotype I made during the eclipse, Sun-printing with both natural and human-made items from my location in Austin, Texas, to capture the physical and temporal in one piece of art. I made ECLIPSE//APOCALYPSE in September 2024, at NASA’s Johnson Space Center under Robert McCall’s mural Opening the Space Frontier – The Next Giant Step.
